The newly named Hotel Kanda Uda, former Hotel Kandy ParisIt is a beautiful hotel with certain Parisian airs in a large villa in Kandy. The decoration somewhat reminds of the French capital and the type of construction falls outside the norm in Sri Lanka.
The location is very good, a few meters from the lake, on a hill, from where you get very beautiful views. At the intersection below stop many buses that go downtown or you can take a tuctuc for about 200 rupees.
Our room was very spacious and comfortable, a perfect bed, satellite TV (although most international channels were not seen), WiFi, air conditioning and the best: lots of light and great views.
On the terrace they serve breakfast included in the price of the reservation. In our passage through Kandy we felt very well served in this hotel, close to the center but in a very quiet area where you can rest.
