10 hours!! 10 damn hours you went up to gambita !! 10 hours by local Indian roads give for a lot! Especially if you go up and down mountain stations, if you pass through lost villages by the hand of God, if you travel roads from hell that leave those of Bolivia at the height of bitumen (ok, we exaggerate ...). Well, give for a lot.

The day begins by searching google maps for the route to follow ... 300 kilometers and 6 hours ... Well we knew it would be hard! Then come, routine as usual, we put the backpack in place and descend the mountain. But this would not be the last mountain we would see. We had already verified that a green area appeared on the map route, mmmmm, it didn't look very good. But in reality the pint was worse! It was hell made mountain! We looked up and we could not understand why they have taken the road here! With how easy it would have been to make a 50 km tunnel…

Without possible alternatives we have to go back up. And what a climb! Each last curve was a life gained (again we exaggerate), we saw the pebbles detached on the sides of the road and we did nothing but pray. And without a damn shadow where to stop! The rush took us about an hour or more, after which we went to the state of Kerala and saw the light! See we saw more vegetation, better roads and hope to reach Kochi by day. We pass by some beautiful tea plantations leaving Munnar 20 km on our right and we continue on, stopping to eat, to wash the motorcycle, to take a snack, to piss…

We took the NH-49 and gave him a shoe. A road of the most beautiful we have traveled, crossing a valley following a river and with a category asphalt. Precious! It was the calm that precedes the storm!

When we arrived near Kochi, all the traffic we had not seen on our way through these roads of hell, where we were alone, we found it here. Well, typical of a big city we go. To travel the last 20 km to the GH we were another hour.

Total, 10 hours to do 323 km today. Take it now! And in total 2,088 km ... we do not want a motorcycle in the coming months JAJAJA!

Of course, a great surprise awaited us in Kochi: Eva of An Idea A Journey! We had a great time chatting with her, we finally saw her in flesh and bones ... what an illusion !!!

USEFUL INFO

Where to sleep:We did it at GH San Mike, where we had rented the motorcycle. It is right in front of the Basilica of Santa Cruz and is simple but very cozy.

Travel:We descended the same road we had climbed. No surprise in this regard. Then we continue along other pretty rough local roads until we meet the raised lady. 20 km in an hour! Anyway ... After this climb and in the state of Kerala things change, although it is still a mid-mountain road so the speed is quite reduced. While the quality of asphalt is much better.
