The Laguna Redang Resort It is one of the most famous accommodation in Malaysia, the 'culprit' is the wonderful beach that houses it ... of those who take the hiccups. It has even been the location of a famous Hong Kong movie: Summer Holiday.
Our room It was spacious, bright and with a super comfortable bed. There is a small terrace where you can relax but always remember to close it: some monkeys came in and stole a pair of tangerines and some bananas! Oh and nail polish, haha! They have cable TV, air conditioning, water bottles, as well as coffee and tea envelopes by courtesy.
Although with the warmth what you most want is a dip in the swimming pool... and what a pool! I think it has been the biggest one we have ever bathed in: it has even a jacuzzi part. For the little ones there is a slide ... we were tempted to try it although in the end we managed to keep the guy.
The lagoon is in beachfront So if you want sand, sun and waves, this is going to be your place.
Near the rocks on the right side of the sea you can do snorkeling in the company of a few fish but it is in the Marine Park where you will freak out: you will feel like inside an aquarium since thousands and when I say thousands I mean thousands of fish will surround you. Every day the Laguna organizes 2 snorkeling trips: one at 09.30 to the Marine Park and another at 15 at “high seas” (they are really going to be about 4-5 meters deep so the little ones like me can go quiet!) .
Another of the things we enjoyed to the fullest during our stay was the buffet from the hotel and it was all delicious! One night they also made meat and fish on the barbecue (the satay were dead!) And the last day they invited us to try a steamboat, for this area is very common.
Every night there are shows in the bar, concerts especially. You can have a drink while you enjoy them or go for a walk on the beach in the moonlight.
Our experience in the Laguna was very good: the customer service is very good, the employees are always very friendly without being heavy and we found everything very well organized, considering that it is a great hotel with a lot of capacity. In fact, as soon as we arrived they all gathered us in a room and explained each point in a very clear way and has a little train for the largest transfers (come on, 200 meters).
Come on, it was 3 days where we relaxed to the fullest, where we swam like never before and where we fixed a couple of kilos. Redang climbs positions on our list of favorite sites: it's a true paradise!

- How much? Obviously it is not a backpacker accommodation although the prices seem totally viable for a whim. What they usually do are all inclusive packages. The 3-day, 2-night one costs 628RM per person (about € 150) and includes:
